The kitchen is the hub of most events in Doricmorr, and is usually the core of the house.  We have had so much feedback saying that a lot of guests' time was simply spent just sitting around the kitchen table enjoying the chat – it’s good to know that we are not the only ones who do this!

For those of you who have not yet been over to Doricmorr, the kitchen is fully equipped with all the things you would expect of a large family kitchen. Centre stage is a full-size range cooker, with five gas rings – the main burner being a wok-burner which is just brilliant for doing stir-fries. There are now three fridges (we find two for food, and one for beverages seems to be the norm!).

There is also a Braun food processor (which is great for preparing those stir-fries if nothing else!), toaster, two kettles, a plentiful supply of pots and pans, an array of cooking dishes, some lovely habitat oven-to-table ware, a full supply of table dishes, in fact pretty much everything you need to encourage the Jamie Oliver out in you! And of course in Arran you have the time to give in to that encouragement.

For those of you with a younger family, there are also two highchairs (which we keep in the utility room when not in use).
