Pubs and Bars

We are hoping that friends and guests will put pen to paper, and help us to fill this page with reviews of pubs on Arran, and not just in Lamlash. But for starters....

Lamlash has four pubs of note....

Firstly,  the Drift Inn... which is situated on the shore line near to the harbour. "The  Drift", as it is known by the locals, serves food till around 9pm most days however pre-booking a table is not an option. You will have to take your chance to turn up and hope a table is available. There is also a fabulous beer garden with, in our opinion, one of the best views on the Island.

At the head of the pier lies the aptly named Pier Head Tavern, or "P-H-T" to locals. This has recently changed hands and the owners have done a splendid job resulting in a great asset to Lamlash. Staff are friendly, service is great and food good with very healthy portion sizes, particularly the starters! There is an excellent pool table and all round good atmosphere.

The Lamlash Bay Hotel...   This hotel is situated near to the Co-op and Jimmy's "Ship House" shop. The theme inside is one of big leather couches, lots of good beers, and a good atmosphere. It is a favourite with the locals. The restaurant is fabulous with a great menu and friendly service. Pizzas are a particular favourite of ours!

The Glenisle Hotel...  This hotel offers good food in a friendly atmosphere. There is a lovely beer garden with some amazing tree lights and well worth a visit.
